I was sad to learn today about Dennis’s passing. I have not seen both of you in probably over 25 years. I often thought of the great times that we had together at the early stages of our lives.

Dennis was a great friend, we shared many laughs and good times together.

I’m not sure that you know that our son Jeremy passed away about five years ago and he is also buried in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Marcia is now living in Cleveland and I believe in the same complex where you’re living.

Please accept my condolences and pass them on to your children. May Dennis’s memory be a blessing to you and your family.

Remembering back to 1968, Sheridan Ave Bexley, when our young Marks family lived next door to Edie & Gerry Mendelson and we first met Dennis. We were all so young and just beginning our life’s journey. Those long ago memories have been the fabric of our lives…deep and enduring.
Thank you Dennis for sharing your generous spirit of humor and kindness with us all. 
And to Steph, Jen, Aaron and Josh…

I have known Dennis and Stephanie since we were kids growing up in Columbus. We shared many times together at the Jewish Center and years of laughter. My deepest condolences to Stephanie and the family.

Over the last 50+ years Dennis and I stood by each other through life’s many challenges, especially during times of family health struggles. We offered each other strength and comfort when it was needed most, never hesitating to lend a hand or a listening ear. Our friendship was a constant, a source of solace and reassurance, no matter what storms we faced.
Together, we attended Chabad study classes, embarking on a journey of spiritual growth and understanding. These sessions deepened not only our knowledge but also our bond, as we explored faith, meaning, and purpose side by side. Dennis’s curiosity and openness inspired me and enriched our shared journey.
Reflecting on our years together, I am profoundly grateful for the extraordinary bond we shared. Dennis enriched my life in ways words can scarcely capture—with his wisdom, his kindness, and the joy he brought to every moment. Ours was a friendship marked by deep respect, shared experiences, and unwavering support—a gift I will cherish always.
As I say goodbye to Dennis, I hold tight to the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love that defined our extraordinary friendship. I am thankful beyond measure for the journey we traveled together. Though my heart aches, I find comfort knowing that his spirit and the legacy of our friendship will endure.
Thank you, Dennis, for being my friend, my mentor, and my brother in every sense. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

My family and Denis’s family grew up together and always stayed in touch over the years. We grew we loved and we shared many wonderful times together. We will miss him and remember the good times forever!

When I think of Dennis, the first thing I see is a big smile.  Dennis, and the family, are a huge part of my childhood growing up.  I was fortunate enough to get to see him one last time two years ago.  For me, it was the highlight our family vacation.  As a child, Dennis was know for the "Claw", and I was glad I could remind him of that on my visit.  It was amazing to catch up with Dennis, Steph, Aaron, and Josh two years ago, and hope they know we are all thinking of the family at this time.  The Mendelson family will always hold a special place in the hearts of  my family, and Dennis will  be dearly missed.  Jonathan Marks
