I was very sad to hear the news about Bob.  I have very fond memories of growing up around the corner from your family and remember Bob being such a fun and kind  neighbor.  Sending prayers and love to the Asch and Barnett families during this difficult time.

Bob was SUCH a nice guy; he frequently took me home safely after meetings and gave me advice when I asked. His story was inspirational to the group - the very essence of what PFLAG stands for and wants to achieve is what his story represented. I'm going to miss his sense of humor; his bubbly personality; and the heartfelt and hopeful way he shared his story at the start of every meeting.

I was blessed by many things from the mid 90's until I moved to Arizona in 04, not the least of which was Bob. We were good friends and I always knew I could count on him. Whether it was a good laugh, a minute to bend his ear, or a dental procedure, Bob was always there and available. I'll miss you Bob.

Bob was always kind to me and could make me laugh when I was feeling low. He had a knack for making people feel welcome and comfortable.

I lived across the hall from Bob for many years at the Alexander Apartments in Lakewood. He was always very pleasant and I was sorry when he moved.

I'm so sorry to learn this.  Bob has been so faithful to PFLAG for so long...  Every time I would see Bob he had a smile on his face and would engage anyone most sincerely.  Carolyn and family, please know that many of us share in your grief.

It is a sadness to learn of Bob's death.  We cousins always kept in touch at the family gatherings at grandparents Asch.  As adults, we all scattered and it  was difficult to meet in person.  But we know that Bob was a gentle, caring person and we were lucky to have him in our lives.

I spent my early years living next door to Bobby, Terri, Aunt Carolyn & Uncle Sandy. I have very fond memories of swapping comic books and playing board games with Bob. He and I built a miniature golf course that traversed both of our yards (mostly his design).

I remember the Asch household as one of warmth, kindness, humor and always a buzz of activity. Though I moved to Florida & lost contact with Bob, I can tell from the wonderful testimonials of those of you who were lucky enough to know him as an adult that the Asch Family values flowed through Bob & touched all of you.

Rest in peace my childhood friend.

Aunt Malvin called Joey, Bobbie and I the Three Musketeers. 
I am proud to have grownup with Bobbie and appreciate his sharing some of his childhood with me. 
Bobby had an fun and very unique way of introduced me to "Christmas Don't Be Late" by The Chipmunks & "Little Yellow Poka Dot Bikini" songs along with several other tunes. 
I still always think of him when I see "The Game of Life" & a "Mr. Potato Head"; Aunt Carolyn always seemed to have an endless supply of fresh potatos ((I think of him too when I see Mrs. Potato Head, but don't believe she was out yet). 
I remember how happy he was while playing with his train set (though I believe it was more Uncle Sandy's set; and much much more since we lived across the street from each other.
Having read the other comments in this guest book, I am very happy to hear that Bobby brought much joy, humor and comfort to others as he did to my childhood.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your loving brother and son, Dr. Bob Asch. I met him a few times at Alison's and Matans home.

Bob was an amazing person.  Always smiling, and always willing to help wherever or whenever he was needed.  His service to the community will never be forgotten.  Thank You Bob for all you did.  You truly will be missed.

Bob had a great sense of humor and seemed always the optimist.  I knew Bob for over 30 yrs and part of his legacy is the great gains the LGBT movement has achieved.  He worked hard for a better world.

Oh, dear Carolyn.  Bob was a stalwart friend and a positive presence.  I'm so sorry he's gone.  We'll miss him here just as we miss you and Sandy.

Such a terrible loss, may Bob's memory be a blessing to all his family and friends. He was a spirited and welcoming soul.

We have been on the Temple Board together for many years,which was a great bonding time and we became like family. And we have also been good friends many more years. We will miss you very much, especially at our backyard picnics! You were a very kind and wonderful person. We remember your very special parents as well. It is so sad to lose such a special friend at such a young age. We miss you and love you very much.
