

Galvin, Gerald
Gerald Melvin Galvin, 95, of Boynton Beach, Fla., passed away Nov. 21, 2023.
He was born April 12, 1928, in Cleveland and graduated from Shaker Heights High School. Gerald received his Bachelor of Science from Western Reserve University, now part of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Gerald worked for United Insulation Company for 50 plus years, becoming vice president in charge of operations. He was a congregant of B’nai Jeshurun Congregation in Pepper Pike.
He was a very hard worker and devoted father, putting his family’s needs and wants above his own. Gerald was also a lifelong tennis player and an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 74 years, Audrey Galvin; children, Jonathan (Tami) Galvin of Boca Raton, Fla., Marta (Vern) Glassman of Delray Beach, Fla., and Stephen (Shelly) Galvin of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren Aaron (Amy) Galvin, Jared (Jenna) Galvin, Evan Glassman, Lauren Glassman, Jordan (Mallory) Galvin, Jessica (Spencer) Pariser and Cameron Galvin; and great-grandchildren Mia Galvin, Lana Galvin, Jordana Galvin, Jace Galvin, Asher Fellman, Hudson Fellman, Shai Fellman, Jonah Galvin and Cooper Pariser.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Nov. 29 at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel at 1985 S. Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights. Interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon.
The family will be receiving mourners from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 29 at The Cleveland Marriott East at 26300 Harvard Road in Warrensville Heights.
