Geraldine graduated from John Hay High School and then worked as an executive bookkeeper. She and Harvey raised their children in University Heights and then moved to Beachwood until they permanently relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida in 2007.
As the matriarch of the family, her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine made countless friends throughout her lifetime. She and her husband formed a Cousin’s Club and Couple’s Club that met on a regular basis for over 40 years.
She was a lifelong member of Fairmount Temple and the National Council of Jewish Women. Geraldine was an avid reader and card game enthusiast who enjoyed bridge, canasta, poker and mahjongg. She loved to garden and could make anything grow, especially tomatoes.
She was a wonderful cook and hosted every celebration and holiday meal. Everyone loved her famous brisket, but each family member had their own favorite dish.
Geraldine was a perpetual optimist and a woman who treated everyone with kindness. She was a person you looked to for advice, knowing you would never be judged. She understood what really mattered in life.
Graveside services for immediate family were held at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, Shiva was held privately. Donations in Geraldine’s memory can be made to the National Council of Jewish Women - Cleveland chapter (ncjwcleveland.org) or charity of your choice.
