Glenn was a devoted husband and dearest friend to Joan for 48 years. No matter what he and Joan were doing together, he was happy. They loved to travel, dine out with friends, hike, and ski. In Glenn’s youth, he was a pilot, and flying was his one true love (after Joan, of course). After Glenn left the Air Force, where he flew the Lockheed F104-A Starfighter, he owned Gali’s Florist and Garden Center until his well-earned retirement at 88 years old. He was also a professional ski instructor in Aspen.
Glenn was a proud father, papa, and great-grandfather and loved his family deeply; loving wife Joan (Dudnik), children Linda, Jeff (Kari), Lauren (deceased) (Mike), Leslie (deceased) (Larry (deceased), stepchildren Brett and Ali, grandchildren Jonathon (Linna), Jennifer (Martha), Steven, and Leo. Glenn’s warm, kind, gentle personality helped him forge many cherished friendships.
His family will hold a private memorial at Suburban Temple. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Western Reserve in gratitude for the loving care they provided to Glenn in his final days.
Arrangements under the care of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
