Harold A. Waxman, beloved CEO of City Express Delivery for 50 years, passed away earlier this week at his home in Arizona. A passionate gardener and avid traveler, Harold explored the United States extensively. Despite not being a whiskey connoisseur himself, he had a notable collection of whiskey advertising and mini bottles.
In retirement, Harold enjoyed visiting antique stores and flea markets, adding to his cherished collection, especially Limoges China, a favorite of his late wife, Rosalyn. He was also a frequent guest at Las Vegas hotels, indulging in the excitement of craps tables, and loved going on cruises.
Harold will be deeply missed by his children, Michael (Andrea) Waxman, Lisa (Mitchell) Cronig, and Mark Waxman; and his grandchildren, Daniel (Cayla) Waxman, Sam and Parker Waxman, Arielle Cronig, and Jeremy Cronig (fiancée Kiki Carey). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan Waxman. Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosalyn, and his brother, Gerald.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29th at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 26700 Aurora Road, Bedford Heights, Ohio. The graveside service will be followed by a shiva at the Cronig residence, 20120 Scottsdale Blvd., Shaker Heights, continuing immediately after until 5:00pm and again from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Shiva will also be observed on Monday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Emanu El (www.teecleve.org) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alzheimers.org).
Arrangements were made under the supervision of Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
