

IZONID LEYDIKER, age 68, died October 28, 2016. Born in Moldova on June 17, 1948 to parents Moritz Leydiker and Dina Bogatina. Izonid was an intelligent man; he loved to read and listen to music and was known for his sense of humor He held a degree in music and specialized in playing the accordion. He attended and graduated from Leningrad State University with his degree in finance and economics. Following graduation Izonid entered the military and served in the Russian Army earning the rank of Lieutenant. After serving in the Army Izonid went to work in Leningrad and Siberia working in Distribution and Logistics becoming a vice president of the organization. During this time he gradually lost his vision and became blind by 1993. Continuing to meet life's challenges Izonid and his family moved to the United States in 1995. He took classes at the Cleveland Sight Center and received his training and license to become a manager in food services. Driven and motivated to succeed, Izonid had many friends and was respected and much loved. He is survived by his family and was the beloved husband of Tatyana Yakusheva; devoted father of Veniamin Leydiker (Elena) and Marina Leydiker (Rico Mixon); loving grandfather of Tatiana Leydiker; dear brother of Anatoliy Leydiker (Freda Myaskovskaya). Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Monday, October 31 at 2 PM with visitation from 1 to 2 PM. Burial will take place in Mt. Sinai Cemetery at approximately 3 PM.
