He was a devoted husband, loving father to five boys, and beloved grandfather. He was generous to a fault and eager to strike up a conversation with anybody. When he wasn’t working, he was taking his children camping, traveling with his wife and friends, or entertaining at home. He frequently volunteered his time, including at the local library and yearly as a poll worker.
Jay was the owner of Triangle Auto Parts and expanded the business he inherited from his father to several stores in the region.
He is survived by his wife, Lesley, and sons, Eric (Kathy), Robert (Lisa z”l), Jeffrey (Maureen), Steve (Elizabeth), Doug (Kimberly), his brother, Barry (Mary Lou) and grandchildren, Sara, Josh, Macy, Piper, Tate, Nash, and Charlotte.
