Thinking of you Jeff at this time 2 years in heaven I wonder what kind of experiences you're having someday you'll tell me in God's time.    Tried to call you a brother down now and always.     

...my name is WILL....I first met jeff and his brother brian in houston...in 1981 I believe.  jeff and his brother were the best friends one could have...I met his friend sandy melamed...also from cleveland...we were a tight group of friends and we shared many conversations and experiences of life.  I spoke with jeff just a few days before he passed away....he sounded upbeat and was looking to go to florida.  thanks jeff...for just being there as a confidant and friend....I promise to say Kaddish for you every 2 february....jeff and I shared the same religious beliefs....we discussed religious matters and tried to lead a good life.  see you when I get to the other side someday in the future.....william huegel 

     I first met Jeff about ten years ago, through my friend and his roommate, Mark Kessler.  Having Jeff come into my life, and the ensuing friendship, was one of the best things to happen to me since my return to Cleveland thirteen years ago.
     Jeff was a very kind and caring individual.  One way in which he showed these qualities was by being a good listener.  He also was down-to-earth, easy to get along with.
     Jeff loved to tell stories about his past - his growing up years in Cleveland, and his adult life, which was filled with many adventures.  He also loved to share stories about his family, especially about his father.  And I loved to hear him recount all of these stories.  In some ways, these were his “war stories”.  Throughout his journey here on earth, he picked up bumps and bruises, he failed at times, BUT he learned from his failures.  This is probably why he was so down-to-earth.  Certainly, this is why I so enjoyed spending time with Jeff, especially over meals.  I could relate, having learned many valuable life lessons the hard way.

     Jeff - I hope that you are now resting in peace, with your Father in Heaven.

Jeff and I worked together at Sears in the Richmond Heights mall for 7 years. We regularly went to lunch together and he told me stories of his traveling days down in Texas. Jeff was a great friend and I will miss him greatly. His dark tinted glasses while selling vacuums is an image I'll never forget. Love you Jeff!

I lived with Jeff for 14 years, in that time, I became like a brother to him: we shared many fond memories together!!!
He will be forever missed and loved!!!!

I am heartbroken beyond words at the loss of my dear friend and one whom I have held as a brother for nearly 40 years.    Jeff and I worked together at the Houston Post newspaper in 1981 and became very good friends throughout the 1980s I came to know his late brother Brian very well and found Jeff to be one of the pillars of wisdom and support the kind of which make anyone's life worth living.    In recent years I haven't been in touch with Jeff as much as I'd like since his move back to Cleveland.     But we've always stayed in touch by old fashioned handwritten letter or telephone.   The last I talked with Jeff was in October and November of last year.   Once on his birthday in October and then right before Thanksgiving and then in early January .     Jeff was planning on going to Florida in March and even invited me to stop over there from Houston .  When I heard this devastating news from our mutual friend Bill Huegel down in Corpus Christi it was as if I'd been hit by car and I still feel that way .   I pray for Ronnie and for those friends whom he has known as family who are around him in Cleveland at this time.     I know that I will see Jeff again soon someday just not yet.  Thank you for allowing the opportunity to post this.   Charles M.

Jeff and I lived together for 14 years; after my divorce, Jeff was kind enough to let me move in with him as I desperately needed a place to stay - for this, I will ALWAYS regard Jeff as the truest kind of friend!!!
Previously to living with Jeff, my mom and I  got to know Jeff's family - they are all deceased now, but they were like family to us!
Rest in Peace, dear Jeff!!!
