To Joel's family,

Please accept my condolences.  It's been many years since we last saw each other, but I always enjoyed our conversations.  Joel was a smart and considerate man.  I hope you find some comfort in his memory.

Mr. Grodin and I shared the same birthday. He would often call and wish me a happy birthday. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember Joel from Lomond Elementary School days.  He was always such a nice, friendly person.  He never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything.  My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.  Dick Weiss

My deepest sympathy to Gary and Mandy. Joel and I were close friends growing up. Our families were friends. We spent many holidays and special events together. We both enjoyed a good time.Unfortunately living hundreds of miles apart did not give us the chance to get together.I have many great things to remember about Joel and his parents Herb and Dolly, 

You may know that the Shaker Hts. High School Class of 1963 posts information about classmates who have sadly died. So we all know about your loss. There are so many sweet comments about Joel on our Class page but you do not have the chance to read them.  I for one went to Lomond School with Joel and I clearly remember him from when he was a little boy and then all the way through high school. I know that he remembered me as I saw him at reunions. I have only positive thoughts about him. My sympathies to you all on your loss.

What can I say?  Words are absolutely inefficient for me.  My deepest condolences for your loss and, of course, mine also, of my dear friend after so many years.  I wish I could have seen him in recent months and have been able to do more for him when needed.  G-d bless Joel and may he find peace having been united again with his wife, Karen. Dear Gary and Mandy,
Your Dad, Joel, was truly a gentleman.  I knew him for many years and always enjoyed being with him. In recent years, we were both members of a dinner group and we would sit together many times.  I also enjoyed seeing him as he ushered at Fairmount Temple and worked diligently for the Brotherhood.  Please accept my deepest condolences at this most difficult time.

We knew Joel for many years. We used to see him at Fairmount Temple for Friday Night Services. He was in Owatonna Lodge K. Of P. and Jewish War Veterans with me for many years. He also went out to dinner with our Saturday night group. We would usually pick him up. Sometimes Karen would come along also. They both seemed to like getting together with our group. We usually had much to talk about. We will surely miss he and his stories.  He was a good guy and liked by many people.
