(nee Katz), born March 25, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio and died peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Alex. Loving mother of Dr. Robert (Debbie) Ecker, William Ecker and Nancy (Jeff) Kanter. Devoted grandmother of Dr. Kenny (Suzanne) Ecker, Danny (Dr. Hillary) Ecker, Julie Ecker, Lisa Ecker, Amy (Andrew) Dodd, Zachary Kanter and Wesley Kanter. Great Grandmother of Allison, Ian, Hudson and Emmett. Dear sister of the late Henry Katz and Phyllis Balderston. Cherished daughter of the late Dorothy and William Katz . Joyce was a graduate of Ohio State University and a former teacher. Her loves also included singing, dancing and continuing self-education. She was a constant support to her family and friends. Services will be held TUESDAY, September 24 at 12:30 PM. at the ANSHE CHESED FAIRMOUNT TEMPLE 23737 Fairmount Blvd. Beachwood, OH. Interment Mayfield Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Kanter residence 23901 Hermitage Rd. Shaker Heights, OH. TUESDAY FOLLOWING SERVICES UNTIL 8 PM, WEDNESDAY 1 PM-4 PM. & 6:30 PM-8:30 PM.
