

Karen Skall, a spirited and beloved woman, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 30th, at the age of 89. She was a lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra, having met him years ago, and cherished all things related to Tweety Bird from Looney Tunes.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Karen spent decades in the typewriter sales industry, providing service to large companies throughout northeast Ohio. She retired a few years ago from her role at Parker Hannifin.
Karen was known for her feisty personality and vibrant spirit. She was actively involved in the political process and approached her recent illness with strength and resilience. As a proud Furr Mom, she loved her cat Sammy and had a special fondness for all things feline.
She is survived by her children, Wendy (Neil) Young, Stuart (Beverly) Eisner, and Michael (LeAnne) Eisner; her grandchildren, Marni and Hayden Young, Taylor (Justin) Huffman, Brendon (Emily) Eisner, Samantha (fiancé Shawn Thompson Jr.) Eisner, and William Eisner; her four step children, Terry (Jerry) Rosenthal, Denni (Roger Richards) David, Brad Skall, and Jodi (Marc) Berger; her step-grandchildren, Emily (Jesse Wilkinson) Berger, Jordan (fiancé Roxanna Ghaderi) Berger, Evan Berger, Elliot (Naomi) Rosenthal, Joel Rosenthal, Melissa (Liam O’Shannesey) David, Corey David, and Lauren (David) Belbel; along with many great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. at the Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel, located at 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights. Interment will follow at Mt. Shiva will be observed at the home of the Young family, 516 Crystal Lake Drive North, Orange Village, Ohio, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday only.
Contributions in Karen’s memory may be made to the SPCA of Greater Cleveland, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Karen will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her zest for life, her love of family, and her indomitable spirit.
