

Preceded in death by his parents Joyce Lillian (Golland) and John Myles “Jack” Riga and sister Donna Riga Rosen. Beloved husband of 38 years to Rita Riga (nee Law); devoted father of Jan Lash (Steve) of Moreland Hills, OH, Les Riga (Tracy) of Ft. Myers, FL, Jennifer Riga Gangi (Rick) of Randolph, NJ and Debbie (Robby) Adelstein; loving grandfather of Matthew (Jessica) Lash, Ryan (Kara) Lash, Michael Lash, Elaine (Andrew) Cornwell, Alex Riga (fiancé Austin Rollins), Aidan Riga, Cecilia Gangi, Talia Gangi, Sydney Adelstein (fiancé Anthony Mascia), Jeremy Adelstein and Avery Adelstein; dearly loved great-grandfather of Kate Lash, Colton Cornwell and Brooks Cornwell. Survived by brother Alan (Judy) Riga and Brother & Sister-in-Law Len and Laverne Law.
Larry was a friend to all and loved everyone he met. His love extended to his many cousins, nieces, nephews and especially his “in law family”, although he only referred to them as “his kids," never as in-laws, the extended Lash, Dineen, Gangi and Adelstein families were a source of great pride for him as well.
Larry was a proud brother of the Knights of Pythias (Owatonna Lodge #62) for over 60 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he worked on the electrical components of airplanes based stateside in Texas and Colorado.
He was also an active member of the University Heights police auxiliary from the 1970’s until 1991 when he and Rita moved to Florida.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Rd, Solon, OH 44139 on Sunday, October 15 at 1:30 PM.
Following the funeral service, the family will receive friends at the Schnurmann House Community Room, 1227 Drury Ct, Mayfield Hts, OH 44124.
