LEYA VELIKAYA (nee Roseman), age 86, died April 13, 2011 in Beachwood, OH. She was born July 24, 1924 in Moldova and emigrated from Russia to the United States in the early 1980's. Leya was educated as a bookkeeper and for many years worked at a social service agency. Beloved wife of the late David Velikov; devoted mother of Yelena Gidley (John) of Mentor, OH; dear sister of Abba Roseman (deceased); loving grandmother of Bella, Margarita and Jordan; adoring daughter of Alex and Berta Roseman (both deceased). Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS., Friday, April 15 at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Bet Olam Cemetery (Park Synagogue section). The family requests no visitation.
