Louvenia (Lou) Gamble Burton, 83, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025 in Beachwood, Ohio. Born on September 19, 1941, in Selma, Alabama, Lou was the devoted daughter of Charlie and Lamenia Gamble and the beloved sister of Charlie, Ethel, Dandarien and
Lamenia. She was also the dear aunt of Eddie.
Lou moved to Cleveland in her early adult years, seeking better opportunities, and soon became an integral part of the Roz and Sam Krasney family for the next 65 years.
Her younger sister, Lamenia (Lala), joined her in Cleveland a few years later, and they remained exceptionally close throughout their lives, serving as an inspiring model of sisterhood bonding.
Lou nurtured five generations of the Krasney family with love, compassion, and a keen sense of humor. She was a passionate fan of all Cleveland sports teams, enjoyed “playing the numbers“ and was noted for her impeccable style and dress. Lou was a beloved family member throughout her life to Roz and Sam’s daughters, Nora, Paula, and Sherry, their husbands, children, and grandchildren.
The family extends gratitude to her special friends and caregivers. Graveside services were held at Evergreen Memorial Park on February 26, 2025. Friends may consider a donation to the Friends of the IDF.
