Dr. Mario David Kamionkowski

Dr. Mario Kamionkowski, MD was a gastroenterology specialist in private practice in Beachwood, OH and had practiced for over 50 years. He graduated medical school from Universidad De Buenos Aires, Facultad De Ciencias Medicas in 1958 and trained in Internal Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland OH. He served his residency at Mt. Sinai, then later he served at Metrohealth Medical Center for his Gastroenterology fellowship.

Dr. Kamionkowski served as Director of Continuing Medical Education at Hillcrest Hospital and was the Director of Gastroenterology at Hillcrest Hospital.

When Mario retired from practice he served as a Physician Advisor at Hillcrest Hospital.

Mario was the son of Bernardo and Eugenia Kamionkowski; loving husband of Mary Vidmar of Gates Mills, OH; devoted father of Tamar Kamionkowski (Jennifer) of Elkins Park, PA, Marc Kamionkowski (Rebecca) of Baltimore, MD, Daniel Kamionkowski (Stacey) of Shaker Heights, OH, Sara Kamionkowski of North Royalton, OH and stepfather of Jason Vidmar (Vlada) of Hudson, OH; beloved grandfather of Meital, Ruben, Isaac, Alexandra, Ada and Ryan; dear brother of Mina and Luisa; cherished uncle of many.

Funeral services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Monday, July 22 at 10 am.

Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery (Park Synagogue section).

The family will receive friends MONDAY FOLLOWING BURIAL UNTIL 4 PM AND 6 - 8 PM at the residence of Daniel and Stacey Kamionkowski, 2728 Rocklyn Rd., Shaker Hts., OH.
