Maureve Terry Goldhamer

Maureve T Goldhamer, age 86, born in Akron, Ohio on May 10, 1939 to Carl and Alma Sperber, died July 23, 2025. Beloved wife of Stanley (deceased) for over 52 years; devoted mother of Kim Goldhamer (Brian Sims) and Jon Goldhamer; cherished companion to Stevie, and stepmother of Lauren Goldhamer (David Schwartzbein), and David Goldhamer (Mary Ellen); loving grandmother of Sam (Liisa Bowler) and Hally (Shane Shuster) Schwartzbein, Jordan, Alexandra and Abigail Goldhamer; dearest great grandmother of August Stanley Chaim Schwartzbein; dearest sister of Howard (Donna) Sperber.

Maureve graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and attended Western Reserve University, and then received her Masters degree from Goddard College.

Maureve became a teacher out of college and loved to teach as she did for several years. She then met Stanley the love of her life. Maureve went on to receive her Masters degree in marriage and family therapy and soon found her true calling. Maureve had a thriving private practice as a marriage and family psychotherapist and truly loved her work.

Funeral services will be held at Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights on Sunday, July 27 at 1 PM. Interment Mayfield Cemetery. To view the service, please scroll down to the Services section and click on “JOIN LIVESTREAM”.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Howard and Donna Sperber, 28401 Cambridge Ln., Pepper Pike on Sunday From 4 PM to 8 PM.
