

Born on September 21, 1928, to Barnet and Bessie Kaslow, Phyllis lived a long and vibrant life filled with love, family, and friendship. She was a true people person who thrived in the company of others and was often the center of attention. Her warmth, energy, and joy for life touched everyone who knew her.
Phyllis had a passion for swimming, walking, and aerobics, staying active well into her later years. She also had a love for jewelry and always took pride in her appearance. Most of all, she cherished being surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted son, Richard Walsh (Rosemarie); her son-in-law, Phil Aikele; three beloved grandchildren; and five treasured great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jack Walsh; her dear daughter, Robin Aikele; and her siblings, Hyman, Stewie, Murray, Henrietta, Gertrude, Lenore, Rosylyn, and Harriet.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. A private interment will take place in New York City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis’s memory to City of Hope or Deborah Hospital Foundation.
