Rita R. Mintz

Beloved wife of Bill W. Mintz, passed away peacefully at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted mother to Michael (Laura), Stuart (Leah), and Randy, and cherished mother-in-law of Jennifer (deceased). Rita was a proud grandmother to Becki (Mendy), Jacki (Dovid), Matthew, Kate (Brian), and Tory (Dan), and a loving great-grandmother to Dovie (Becca), Eitan, Jakey, Avital, Zohar, Nili, Yitav, and CeeCee.

Rita was also a dear sister to her siblings Arnold and Josephine, both of whom have predeceased her.

Her deep love for her family and unwavering commitment to her faith were the cornerstones of her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion, and her generosity, always putting others before herself. Rita was a woman of great strength, compassion, and dignity who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in our chapel here at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Jewish Cemetery, Heights Jewish Center section, 6576 White Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio 44143.

Following the services, the family will receive friends at the Mayfield Country Club, 1545 Sheridan Road, South Euclid, OH 44121, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

Shiva will be held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Mintz, 24115 Woodway Road, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. Shiva hours will be as follows:

• Sunday: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Mincha and Ma'ariv at 6:25 PM)

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Shacharis 8:00 am), 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Mincha and Ma'ariv at 6:25 PM)

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Fuchs Mizrachi School or The Jewish Learning Connection in Rita’s memory.
