Dear Rose Strauss Family, our small nonprofit secured an office in the Midtown building more than eight years ago.  We had tremendous passion, but very little money.  Rose was so supportive and even took me to breakfast and lunch on a couple of occasions to discuss fund development strategies.  She was so generous with her time and advice. Dear Strauss Family and Friends, 
Dr Boxer and myself have had the pleasure of working with Rose over the last year and a half @ University Hospital's Harringiton Heart and Vascular Institue. I was sorry to hear of her passing as when i talked to her in mid April, though weak,  she had hopes of "returning to work".  She always kept a positive outlook as she had so much more to do, and experience in life. I was enriched by being able to be a small part of her care, and always enjoyed talking to her or listening to her bearing her heart out in her phone messages to me. No doubt each of you and her employees have a hole in your heart now that she's passed away and for that we are extending our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost touch with your mom over the years but truly admired her. She was an inspiration to me and I felt she was a woman ahead of her time. As my own life evolved I thought of her and wondered how she would handle things- in many ways I saw her as a role model for women today- me certainly. I would love to hear you talk of her at some point. I can see her face clearly as I remember her. You are in my thoughts.

We were tenants of Rose Strauss in the building on Perkins. We love the building, old, unusual and light-filled and we appreciated Rose's quirky, feisty style. She was a true original. I will miss her.

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting your mother but felt like I always had known her. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

My condolences to the Strauss family. Rose will always have a special place in my heart.  She was a very inspiring business woman and an amazing human being.  I will always consider her my mentor. No matter the circumstances, I always felt better after a conversation with Rose as she could  find the bright side and add a little humor to no matter what.  She will be dearly missed.

Although I only knew Rose a very short time, her zest for life, art and people left a considerable impression on me. She will be missed by all , but especially by her close friends and family.  My condolences to the family.

I also send my deepest condolences to your family. My father always talked lovingly of his cousin Rosie. They saw each other from time to time when we lived in Cleveland so many years ago. My Dad was very close to Arthur who died in the war. That was very devastating at the time but brought Rosie and my dad together. Through the years, they didn't talk as much but when they did, it was as if time had stood still. I don't know if I ever met Susan, Archie or Terry in person. If not, I certainly met them in conversations with my Dad and your Mom. While researching the Einstein family tree several years ago, I had a long conversation with Rosie and she filled me in on many tidbits of information and colorful stories. May her memory be a blessing.

So very, very sorry to hear about this wonderful woman's demise.  She was a delightful customer and amazing business woman.  The world is a little more empty now.

Rose was a pleasure to know and will be greatly  missed. Our hearts go out to the Strauss family at this difficult time. She will be remembered in our prayers.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Rose today. I had the honor of working with her and the Strauss Family the past few years. Rose was one the hardest working individuals I knew, she always had the attitude that anything can be accomplished and a great sense of humor, I always enjoyed a good conversation with her.

I was shocked and saddened when hearing about the passing of Mrs. Strauss today. She always treated me like a family member and I will truly miss her.  My condolences to the entire Strauss family in their time of sorrow.

Dear Strauss Family;
Eventhough the years have passed by so quickly, all of you are in my thoughts quite frequently. I also had the advantage of going with Rose to those monthly credit meetings. Reminds me of a funny story....One day (probably sometime in the 90's) we had the meeting at the old Hofbrau House on East 55th Street. There was a German band playing very loudly in the next room. Rose was speaking (probably) to the top of her Lungs and at the same time the music stopped. I do not think that any of us had ever laughed so hard in our lives!
