Sanford Ira Wile of Orange Village, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was 97. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Leo and Esther Wile, he enjoyed traveling, visiting The Cleveland Museum of Art, and listening to classical music, and the Cleveland Orchestra, both at Blossom Music Center and Severance Hall.
Sanford is survived by his loving children; Richard (Janet) Wile, Joanne (Blake) M. Wile Avenmarg, his grandchildren; Tim (Andrea) Wile and Katy (Clay Cowan) Wile, and his great-grandchildren Henry Wile and Caroline Wile. He was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved wife, Dr. Marcia Z. Wile, and his siblings Erwin Wile and Miriam Wile.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10AM at Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapels. Interment to follow at Mayfield Cemetery, Cleveland Heights, OH.
Shiva will be on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Acacia Social Room, 2202 Acacia Park Dr., Lyndhurst, OH 44124
