Sergey Gil passed away peacefully at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, Florida. He was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, to Vadim and Roza Gil. A dedicated Structural Engineer, Sergey spent many years living and working in Cleveland, Ohio, before retiring to Florida.
He is survived by his loving children, Vladislav S. Gil (Natalia) and Marianna Gil; his cherished grandson, Maximillan A. Gil; his dear sister, Irina Magidova; his uncle and aunt, Michail and Iryna Gologorskij and his cousin, Nelly Rozhyna (Oleg). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Inna D. Gil; his parents; and his brother-in-law, Leo Magidova.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery in Mayfield, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sergey Gil’s memory may be made to PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
