beloved husband of Yvette (nee Bardon) who have shared 67 loving years of marriage together; devoted and cherished father of Rickey (Lori) Sonkin, Jeffrey (Lauren) Sonkin and Stephanie (Brad) Kess of AZ; adored grandfather of Corey, Max and Shelby Sonkin, Chad, Ryan and Jake Sonkin, Erika and Brian Kess; dearest brother of Sherrie (Marty) Matyas, Carol (Harvey) West and Edith (Irv) Chesler both deceased, dearest cousin of Hinda Saul(Jack) both deceased . Shale S. Sonkin is the founding partner of the law firm of Sonkin & Koberna. He has been a practicing lawyer since graduating from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 1953. Shale loved to travel the world with his loving wife Yvette. He was longtime member of Anshe Chesed- Fairmount Temple. Above all his greatest joy was brought to him by his wonderful children and grandchildren. Shale S. Sonkin was a true friend and mentor to many. He will be truly missed by all. Private services will be held Wednesday June 10, 2020 at Zion Memorial Park. The family requests no visitation. Contributions are suggested to a charity of choice.
