R’ Shalom Friedman, one of the original members of the Chabad of Cleveland community and beloved father and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, 23 Sivan, 5785.
He was 90.
R’ Shalom, who was proud to be a direct descendant of the Rashi and a family of big Rabbonim, He and his wife Tanya O.B.M. raised a large family in the path of Torah. He was close to the late Rabbi and Rebbetzin Kazen O.B.M. leaders of the Chabad community in Cleveland, who brought R’ Shalom and his wife numerous times to visit the Rebbe and for yechidus.
He is survived by his children, Yossie Friedman – Crown Heights, Henya Abramowitz – Crown Heights, Stacy Gutnick – Miami, Sonya Yiftach – California, Devorah Lawrence – Staten Island, NY, Eli Friedman – Crown Heights, Chana Miriam Keller – Crown Heights and Menachem Mendel Friedman – Cleveland, Ohio, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Levaya will be at 7:00 pm at Mount Olive Cemetery 27855 Aurora Road, Solon, Ohio 44139 and Shiva will be at the Friedman residence 23019 Beachwood Blvd. Beachwood, Ohio 44122.
