

She was born on November 9, 1933 in Conneaut, Ohio, the youngest daughter of Edwin Wolfred and Rose M (Weitz) Zack. Later in life she lived in Savannah, Georgia and Beachwood, Ohio.
Susan earned her Master’s in Education and Teaching from John Carroll University and taught in schools prior to pursuing her true passion of working with antiquarian and collectible books. Her small business – Pages for Sages – thrived for decades, and customers included noted businesspeople and celebrities.
Most noteworthy was her wide circle of friends, given her ability to always see and draw out peoples’ best qualities.
Married to Haskell Milton Heller for 46 years, until his death in 2002, she was fortunate enough to again find love and companionship with Gerald Farbman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Susan is survived by her children, Laurie Ann Heller and Edward (Ed) Brian Heller, her grandson Thor Alexander Heller, her niece Patricia (Patty) Grossman, nephew Peter Grossman. and a long list of recent and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Haskell Milton Heller, and her sister Carol Jane (Zack) Klein.
A celebration of Susan’s life is planned to be held in Beachwood, Ohio on what would have been her 91st birthday: Saturday, November 9th.
