Theodore R. Ginsburg, born and raised in St. Louis and called Cleveland his home, passed away peacefully this weekend at the age of 72. Ted was a dedicated professional in accounting and law, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelors, MBA, and law degree. His career spanned across several firms and was a nationally recognized benefits and executive compensation consultant known for his integrity, expertise, and unwavering support and mentorship for his colleagues and clients alike.
Outside of work, Ted put his family first dedicating his time to his wife Janice, three sons Charlie, Sandy, and Kenny, his granddaughter Iris, and the family dog. He loved attending the symphony, reading history books, and watching the Browns and Cavs lose with his sons. A proud Jew, Ted was committed to his faith and community and passed that on to his children.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, whom he met at Washington University School of Law; his sons, Charlie, Sandy, Kenny (Dr. Rosie Li); and his granddaughter, Iris. Ted’s warmth, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10 a.m. at Mount Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Road, Solon, Ohio. A private, family-only shiva will follow immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ted’s memory to the Jewish National Fund, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Greater Cleveland Food Bank, or the Kosher Food Pantry.
Arrangements were made under the supervision of Berkowitz Kumin Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
