Warren Blaugrund, 93, passed away peacefully at his home in Shaker Heights on Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born on January 18, 1932 to Henry Blaugrund and Fanny Kramer. He was an identical twin to Leon Blaugrund.
Warren was a passionate lifelong swimmer: on the team at his alma mater, Miami University; in the Army as a member of the Army swim team, and at Thornton pool in Shaker Heights, where he had many friends who always waited for him to jump in first and declare: “The water is great!”
His other great loves were spending time with his family and friends; his dog, Maddie; and the Cavs, Browns and Guardians. He’d held season tickets to the Browns since 1954.
Warren leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Steven Blaugrund and Tracey Barrett, and his nephews and nieces, Francey, Charles, Michael Blaugrund and Jody Fruth. He was preceded in death by his parents; his late beloved wife Diane; and his brother, Leon.
