Yakov Binshtok

February 21, 1955 – October 12, 2025

Yakov Binshtok, lovingly known as Yanchik, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on February 21, 1955, in Odessa, Ukraine to Micheal Binshtok and Dina Saksonskaya, Yan lived a life full of warmth, resilience, and dedication.

A skilled mechanical engineer and devoted contractor, Yan was known for his passion for building and creating. He found joy in working around his home and capturing life's moments with his camera. He deeply cherished nature, traveling, and spending time with both friends and family.

Yan is survived by his beloved wife, Polina Binshtok; his loving daughters, Marina Fletcher (Matthew) and Svetlana Binshtok (Jason Pryor); and his adored grandchildren, Allisen and Ellen Fletcher. He also leaves behind his dear brother, Zhenya Binshtok (Lena), and many close friends and extended family who will forever remember his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Mayfield Village , OH.
