

Born and raised in Ludza, Latvia, to a religious family, she attended prestigious medical schools to earn her MD Pharmacy (with honors) and became an Administrative Pharmacist (supervising other pharmacies in Latvia) for over 40 years before immigrating to the US in 1992.
Her influence as a medical professional was passed on to her family, as both of her daughters became medical professionals as well, 1 running a dialysis center and the other a clinical researcher for orphan diseases.
She was adored by her daughters, Fanya (Efram) Zalipsky and Genya (Mark) Sapo, and cherished time with her granddaughters, Yeva (fiancée Michael) Kisin and Sabina (Roman) Perkis and great grandchildren Benjamin and Gabriella. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Shpungin and brother, Reuven (Tsyla) Shpungin of Israel.
Graveside Services will be held at 2pm, February 27th at Bet Olam Cemetery 25796 Chagrin Blvd. Beachwood, OH 44122.
The family will observe a private shiva following interment.
Arrangements were made under the supervision of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
