

Annie Pearl Lewis was born on April 12, 1947 in Phenix City, Alabama to the proud parents of Eugene Lewis (deceased) and Julia Pearl Lewis. She was brought to Cleveland, Ohio at the bright age of 7 years old.
Annie was educated in the Cleveland Public School district and graduated from the old East High School. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Annie was a member of Second New Hope Baptist Church for many years. Annie specialized in Nursing Assistant and was employed in the Private Care field.
Annie was a very fibrate, energetic, nurturing and loving person. She was also family oriented. Annie would speak to everyone who passed by, she didn’t care about their looks or life-style, she didn’t judge anyone, she saw everyone as an individual. She was also a very generous woman, she help everyone she knew , it didn’t matter if it was on a financially level or just needing an ear to listen.
Annie leaves to cherish and reserve her memory: her husband Edward Carroll, two sisters, Margaret Turner and Nadine Lewis, one brother Gary Lewis, nine children: Michael, Kimberly (Gary), Vanessa, Teressa (Bruce), Angela, Dewayne, Mercedes, Jerome (Lisa), and Fred.
Twenty-four grandchildren: Michael Jr., Marcus, Garianne, Kamera, Rysheta, Rashaunda, Lacey, William, Bruce Jr., Crystal, Danielle, Dewayne Jr., Ja’Quis, Carlos, Dinyell, Dewayne Jr., Angela, Marquitta, Sheena, Jerome Jr., Jamal, JaLisa, Javon, and Sha’ron.
Fifteen grandchildren: Marcus Jr., Isabella, Gabryella, Tiarra, Ta’vion, Destiny, La’Nese, Akeia, Geris, Arron, Kyamauri, Kalaya, Marshae, Emorej and Emanie.
Annie was preceded in death by her father Eugene Lewis and brothers, David, Charlie, and LC Lewis, and a host of relatives and friends.
