

Bennie L. and Bertha L. McArthur. Anthony was the second child of the
six born. Anthony was also called Andy or Mack.
Anthony obtained his education at Max Hayes during this time he met
Diana Brown. Anthony enjoyed working with his hands which made Max
Hayes a perfect fit for him to obtain his education. Anthony graduated
May of 1970. After graduation, Anthony joined the United States Navy.
He served our country from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam Era. Seaman
McArthur NEC 4200 served on the Nuclear Submarine USS James K.
Poke. During this time, he married Diana (Brown) McArthur and had their
first child Anthony McArthur Jr. Two years later they gave birth to their
daughter Angela M. McArthur. He worked several jobs until he discovered
his second career with Cleveland Electrical Illuminating Company also
known as First Energy. He worked there 30 years and retired.
Anthony was passionate about many things. He put his heart into whatever
he wanted to do. In golfing he hit a shot that he knew Tiger Woods
would be proud of!! In bowling he bowled a 298 and 300 (perfect score)
and won rings and a jacket. Anthony was right-handed but bowled lefthanded.
He also loved fishing. He caught a 300 lbs. Bull Shark! With all
these hobbies no one would believe his true passions were working on his
properties and traveling. Anthony lived a great life traveling domestically
and internationally. His travels include Italy, Costa Rica, Mexico and more.
Anthony’s love for seafood followed everywhere he went!
Anthony was proceeded in death by father Bennie L. McArthur Sr. and
Mother in law Annie Bell Williamson.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memories a son Anthony McArthur Jr.,
(Wendy) daughter Angela Coleman (John). Mother Bertha McArthur,
brothers James McArthur (JoAnne) Houston, TX, Bennie L. McArthur
Jr. (Darline), Michael McArthur, and Donald McArthur (Nina) Baltimore,
MD and a sister Cornelia Sanders Columbus, MS. A father in law Horace
Williamson Sr. He also leaves his grandchildren Akilah McArthur, Katia
McArthur, Jasmine Schmenk (Kyle), Lauryn Easler and a special little man
Karan Makupson. Dr. Nicolette Powe (Terrell) whom he saw as another
daughter. Anthony also leaves his nieces, nephews, and a host of family and
friends.
