

Anthony S. Timko Sr., “Poppy,” was born December 31st, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, and passed away peacefully March 31st, 2026.
Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Andrew and Mary Timko; his son, Daniel P. Timko; his brother, Robert Timko; and his great grandson Jovani Garcia.
He is survived by his loving children, Anthony Timko Jr., Aurora Dillinger, Michelle (Rich) Jarvis, and Alyssa Timko; his siblings, Joann, Theresa, Mary, and Andrew; as well as 11 cherished grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by Aurora Timko, the mother of his children, who he shared many years and a family.
Anthony was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and his service to his country was a source of profound glory. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to each of the jobs he carried. He especially treasured his time as a school crossing guard, where he enjoyed meaningful moments with his grandchildren and formed strong connections within his community.
He loved being surrounded by family and friends, whether playing bingo, visiting the casino, working on puzzles, or simply relaxing with a drink in hand. He was a devout Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed watching games, win or lose. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued—his presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of connection to all who knew him.
His final years were spent at Larchwood Care, where he was supported by devoted caregivers whose kindness and compassion meant so much to him and his family. Over time, they became like family, and their care will never be forgotten.
To know him was truly to love him. He made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Family will recieve friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral Mass Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 6928 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland Ohio 44102. Please meet at Church.
