He was born in Wolfe, West Virginia, the son of the late Howard and Cora (nee Taylor) Stroup. Bob is the beloved husband of 35 years to Barbara (nee James); devoted father of Sherrie Stroup, Pamela (Mark) Breeden, Barbara (Pete) Kuzmins and Marshall (Jodie) Morrow; cherished grandfather of Brad, Brian, Kristin, Mark, Derek, Anthony, Brandi, Max, Olivia and Lillian and great-grandfather of Evan, Serenity, Jax and Evelyn; dear brother of Louise Stuart, Margie Burton and the late Howard and Hobert Stroup; adored uncle of many.
He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1967 and retired from Ford Motor Company following 27 years of dedicated service.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 from 4PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Rd., Cleveland 44111, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM. He will be laid to rest with military honors on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 12:30PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio 44273.
