21, 1929. She was the sixth child of Hester and Will Martin. She confessed
Christ at 11 years old and sang in the Children's Choir.
She graduated from Liberty High School in Williamson, West Virginia.
Clara married William Ferguson and to this union five children were born,
Phyllis, William Jr., Teresa, Michael (deceased) and Brian James.
They moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1954 where she joined Morning Star
Baptist Church under Pastor S.L. Cole and under Rev. Earl Preston. She
served in the Choir, Sunday School, Flower and Alter Guild and Choral
Chapter. She was employed at Ameritech for 25 years where she retired.
Clara and her family moved to South Euclid when she joined Central Bible
Baptist Church under Pastor R.H. Ferguson and then Rev. Harry Cain
where she sang in the church choir and the Love Ensemble.
She leaves to mourn, Phyllis (Kevin) Post, William Jr., (Deborah) Hamzah,
Teresa Flonnory, Michael (deceased) Ferguson, Brian James Ferguson,
fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great great grand
children, nieces, nephews cousins and in laws.
