Concetta "Connie" Romano (nee Tucciarone) passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at the age of 98, after a wonderful and fulfilling life. She was predeceased by her dear husband Tony (Domenico A.), her parents Antonio and Tommasina, and sisters Angela and Josephine. She is survived by her loving children Felicia Graves (Dennis) and Tina Romano-Allen (Chuck), grandchildren Karen (Mike) and Brian (fiance Meghan), and great-grandchildren Sean and Nora.
Connie immigrated to the U.S. from Italy as a teenager and lived in NYC before moving to Cleveland, OH. There she met Tony, the love of her life, a dashing Italian with a Harley who became her beloved husband for 59 years.
Connie was known for her perpetual smile, as well as her talent in cooking (homemade spaghetti, sauce and gigantic meatballs.) No one left her house without enough for two more meals! She was skilled in crochet, knitting, embroidery, and quilting and won a Blue Ribbon at the County Fair. Her priceless handiwork will live on forever in many a home. She worked for Cleveland schools for several years in the 1970s. In her later years, she enjoyed trips to Vegas, bingo, bowling, gardening, and farming.
Connie enriched many lives and brought a smile to everyone she encountered. Family was especially important to her, and she will be missed by all.
