hospice care.
She was born Emma Lee Jones March 1st, 1922 in Augusta Georgia
to Lizzy Jones.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband Willie Green and oldest
daughter Vonnie Seawright and granddaughter Juanita Webster.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a homemaker to not
just her immediate family but, to those she considered near and dear to
her heart. She enjoyed spirituals, cooking, her favorite soap operas and
spending time with her children and grandchildren until her decline with
Alzheimer’s.
Emma always had a way of getting you out of a rut. Didn’t matter the
situation or how bad, she always said and knew anything was possible. She
was a tough cookie with a marshmallow center. She’d be hard on you when
you needed but, was always sure to let you know she loved you. Those that
knew her knew, she was a strong, determined and fiercely independent
woman.
Emma is survived by he daughter Elizabeth (Marvin), Grandchildren;
Derek, Tava, David, Joseph, Phillip, and Melvin. Several great grand and
great-great grandchildren and her daughters from another mother, Leslie
(deceased), Peggie and Carol Beth. She also leaves many members of her
extended family who will sadly miss her.
Special thanks to the Kyman/Hochman family for always being there and
Willow Park nursing Home and Hospice of the Western Reserve (Michelle
Hodges) for taking care of her in her later years.
