Our family is deeply saddened to inform that our dear Eryck Jhoel passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the age of 22 years old. Eryck was born on May 9, 1997 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of Olga I. Caraballo and Carlos R. Oliveras. He attended Cleveland schools and graduated from Max Hayes High School in 2015.
Eryck is survived by his parents Olga and Carlos; his brother Carlos S. Oliveras and his sister Jazmine G. Mills. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Olga and Manuel Caraballo of Guánica, Puerto Rico; and his paternal grandmother, Nilsa Rivera of San Germán, Puerto Rico. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Isaac, Carlos, Sara and Naomi; his aunts Mayra, María Esther, Awilda Caraballo, Saira and Rosa Oliveras; his uncles Víctor Manuel, Jesús Manuel Caraballo and Javier Oliveras; his beloved cousins Bill McKenzzie Irizarry-Caraballo, Katherine Omayra, Carlos Alberto and Madeline Rivera-Caraballo, Luis Manuel, Luis Miguel and Jonathan Feliciano-Caraballo, José Manuel and Joselyn Marie González-Caraballo, Nicholas Dimas, Helena Victoria, Audrianna and Shaddai Caraballo, Yaira Colón, Samirah Ortíz, Derek, Edrik, Yetsiel Ruiz, Darek Oliveras, Alexander G. DeJesús and Julio Mercado, Jr.
At this time, the family is not aware of the circumstances that lead to his death but he passed away during his sleep. We are certain and pray to God that he went peacefully to meet with our Lord and embrace with Him on that welcome home hug that we all prepare ourselves for at the end of our days.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Cracium Berry Funeral Home in Cleveland, 7200 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, OH, 44102. Calling hours will be on Monday, November 18th, 2019, from 4-8pm. And the funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019, where we all will meet at about 10:00 am at the funeral home. A Mass will be held at 11 am at Saint Michael Archangel Catholic Church located at 3114 Scranton Rd, Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to help the family with the expenses associated to this sudden event since we were not ready for this painful moment.
