

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 31, 1945. Jack is survived by his sons, Mark “Dax” Bramwell and his wife, Jaqueline; Rhett Allison and his wife, Kristin; and Chad Allison and his partner, Richard; grandchildren, Justice, Gabrielle, Garrett, Natalie, and John “Bennett.” He is also survived by his siblings, Mary “Vivian” Dayton, Diane Eaton Anderson, Richard Allison, Robert Allison, Donald Allison, and Debbie Allison. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Allison and Mary Eaton, and siblings, Frances Nowak and William Allison.
Jack graduated from Keystone High School, where he played quarterback for the Wildcats. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Armed Forces and was stationed at Idar-Oberstein, Germany. While in the service, he became an expert with the M-14 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Jack worked as a machinist, spending a majority of his career at ALCO Manufacturing in Elyria, OH. At a younger age, Jack was a car enthusiast and enjoyed drag racing at Dragway 42. He was an avid golfer and bowler and became a wood working hobbyist after retiring. He loved animals and enjoyed the companionship of many dogs throughout the years, most recently Milkbone, a rescue from Cleveland. Jack was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers. He loved watching his sons play sports while growing up, and above all, was a devoted father/grandfather and loved spending time with his family. Jack will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Road in Westlake, OH. Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and after until 4pm. A Committal Service with full Military Honors will take place at 10:45 am on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd in Seville, OH. Please arrive to the cemetery by 10:30 am.
