Preceded in death by his beloved wife Myrtle of 64 years. Loving father of John J. (Angela) of NC and Suzanne Pease (Frank) of AZ. Dearest grandfather of John C. and Taylor. Great-grandfather to John C. Jr.
Loving brother of George (Nancy) and Olivia Mohr of AZ.
John was the coaching films photographer for the Cleveland Browns from 1949-1985. As a veteran of the US Army, he was stationed in Japan for the allied occupation in 1945. He was an avid gardener and fisherman and has been a member of the Masonic Order for over 50 years. He worked for Sears in various management positions from 1949 until his retirement in 1986.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 3 from 7-9 pm at the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland. All are also welcome at the inurnment, Friday, January 4th, at the Evergreen Cemetery, 29535 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, Ohio at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made in John’s name to Arden Courts of Westlake. Special thanks to all the Care Partners at Arden Courts of Westlake for their compassionate, loving care of their “Popeye”.
