was the second child of four sibling born to the late Lena Mahan and John
A. Smith Sr.
John attended Stratton High School. After high school he went into the
Army. In this spare time he loved to travel the world. He also loved taking
photos, you would have thought he did that for a living. He would go on
the road with his buddy to different festivals. He would go to the gym twice
a week to exercise.
John worked at East Cleveland Water Department. He was so passionate
about his job he didn't retire until he was eighty years old. On his lunch
breaks he would round up his co-workers and go for a walk in the park.
John was preceded in death by his three sisters: Dorothy Moss, Gladys
Wilson and Eva Jane Harris.
John is leaving behind one daughter Dorinda Collins, one son Douglas
Tucker. A longtime life partner Rosie Collins and two step daughters:
Anntrina Collins and Natasha Davis. Also 9 grandkids, 6 nieces and 5
nephews
