Lawrence Davis

Lawrence was born November 24, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to Louise

Rayden and John Davis. He was the youngest of five siblings. He accepted

Christ at an early age.

He graduated from East Tech High School. Afterwards he attended trade

school to become an Electrician. He worked many years at Republic (LTV)

Steel, then later he became the Maintenance Supervisor for the K&D

Group until his retirement.

Lawrence married Carol Davis (Gage) in 1967 and to that union one child

was born, Michele Davis. He later married Laura Davis (Grant) in 1974

and to that union one child was born, Nichole Davis. In 2004 he met his

loving companion Alice Burrough who he was with until his passing.

Besides spending time with family and friends, he had a passion for fishing,

traveling, Cleveland sports teams, playing cards and gambling (Ohio

Lottery). Lawrence was one of the founding members of the 3C Reunion

Picnic Committee; which he enjoyed and looked forward to every August.

He also enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events and playing pool.

Lawrence (Butch) had an energetic and outgoing personality. He never met

a stranger and was loved by everyone he knew. He carried with him lifelong

friendships. He touched many lives with his generosity and zest for life; he

was the image of style and class.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Margaret (Bigg) Alexander,

his parents John and Louise Davis, three brothers John Wesley Davis Jr.,

Ronald Davis, Frederick (Mary) Davis and one nephew Wesley (Junie)

Davis. He was survived by his sister Margaret (Robert) Jones, life partner

Alice Burrough, two daughters Michele and Nichole (Alex), four grandsons

Gregory (Allison), Aaron, Nicholas, Scott and one granddaughter Lauryn,

five great grandchildren Cameron, Julian, Kolbe, Skylar and Destiny

Nichole. Stepson’s Kenneth and Bobby, and step grandkids little Bobby,

Anais, Vincent, Nathan, Ari, and Serenity. Honorary brothers Greg, Charles

(June), Harold (Bud) and Alonzo (Lonnie). Host of nieces, nephews and extended relatives and friends.
