

Mary Frances Foster was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She transitioned to Glory August 18, 2023 at age 86.
She was born to John Bolding and Bessie Lee Clark on September 8, 1936. After graduating from Aracoma High School in Logan, West Virginia, she furthered her education at Wilberforce University. She married her high school sweetheart Philmore Foster in1954. Together they had two children Edwin Foster (deceased) and Beatrice Crumley which later followed three grandchildren, James Philmore Crumley, William Errol Crumley and William Errol Crumley Jr. (great grandchild).
Mary dedicated her life servicing others she moved to the city of East Cleveland in 1955 from Logan, West Virginia. She utilized thirty-four years of service to the city of East Cleveland in which she retired as the Director of Parks & Recreation for the city. She served seven years as a steward/trustee at Hatchel Chapel African Methodist Episcopal church in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mary had a soft spot for those in need or anyone who needed someone to talk to them. She was an unlimited source of wisdom and was generous with her time and resources. She enjoyed looking after those within the community and she highly encouraged the necessity of education and self improvement. Though her journey ends here in the physical her legacy will live on.
