Mildred Ellis

Mildred W. Ellis was born in Wadley , Alabama on March 1, 1927 to the union of the late Aaron and Lodie Bell Staples Woods. She departed this life on May 10, 2025 at Advance Healthcare of Landerhaven.

Mildred was a LPN and worked for several agencies. She was a faithful longtime member of Olivet

Institutional Baptist Church until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by husband Roosevelt Ellis, mother Lodie Bell (staples) Woods, father

Aaron Woods, sister, Clara Meadows. She leaves to cherish her memory, Winfred Ellis, Gail Talton, Vincent Talton, Anthony Pogue, Denise Pogue, Susie Hall, sister in law Ruby Hughley and a host of nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, 8712 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106. Interment Lake View Cemetery to follow.
