

Clardis Lee Shoulders was born September 5, 1930 in Camden, Alabama to Haywood Shoulders and Virginia Raspberry. He was the oldest of twelve children. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Herbert, Charles, Reginald, Sidney, Boon and Lawrence and five sisters, Wanda Jean, Virgil, Maggie, Rossie and Elizabeth. “Love” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, grew up in Camden where he attended Mount Olive Elementary Lutheran School. He was very active in school activities such as being a member of the Choir, the Baseball team and participating in camping and bowling.
Clardis moved to Cleveland and married the love of his life, Eunice, in 1957. They were blessed to be married for 60 years and to this union one son, Larry Shoulders, was born.
Clardis worked as a truck driver for Essex International (formerly known as Cleveland Electronics) for 26 years and he also drove trucks for the City of Cleveland. He had an excellent work ethic and loved going to work.
He was known for having a quiet and gentle way about himself and always being willing to giving a helping hand to others. He also loved to fish, hunt, and watch sports.
Clardis accepted Christ in 1958 and was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church
Clardis leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory a loving wife: Eunice, one son: Larry, four grandchildren: Shinata, LaToya, Larry Jr. and Jamel, four great grandchildren: Raymir, Chontez, Shyia and Davari, nieces: Rosemary Thomas and Emily Love, nephew: Joseph Perdue (Debbie), and a host of loving relatives and friends.
