Mr. Jimmie Drake, Sr.

In Cleveland, Ohio. Jimmie was born November 22, 1932 to Willie and Daisy Drake in

Shaw, Mississippi.

Jimmie worked in the fields and farms of Mississippi as a young man and that is where he developed his love for hunting and fishing. Also, where he met his beautiful wife Addie Moore. They got married in 1950 and moved to Cleveland, Ohio to leave all the segregation and racism going on in Mississippi behind.

Jimmie initially worked as an upholster before getting a job at I. Schumann & Company in Bedford Heights, where he eventually retired.

In his spare time Jimmie enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, watching sports on TV, playing baseball and poker. Were some of his favorite past times. He also loved him some sweet potatoes pies.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Addie Drake, Daughters Barbara Booker and Brenda Reed, sons Lawrence Moore, Jimmy Drake Jr. and Dwight Drake,
