Neighbors do not come any better than the Kinkelaars.  I was fortunate to grow up next door to Mr. & Mrs. Kinkelaar and spent many hours on their front porch.  Mr. Kinkelaar always made time for me showing me all of his plaster repair tools and the van he used to transport them in.  I also have fond memories of talking with Mr. Kinkelaar' dad, clam bake parties, and their dog Princess.  He was a big influence on me and a great friend to my Mom & Dad.  My family will be praying for you, Mrs Kinkelaar, and your family.

Got to talk to Raymond on the phone a few times, about family history. Sure did enjoy our conversations.He had been out to Leroy Twp a few times years ago, and my uncle Leonard visited w/ him as well. The families lost touch over the years. Ray and his family graciously shared their photos and memories with the West Park Historical Society, and greatly added to our knowledge of local history. The Corrigan Craciun Home was, in fact, the Kinkelaar Family farmhouse and Ray was born in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Ray was also a member of the First Families of West Park. His family settled here in 1883 and West 148th north of Lorain was once called Kinkelaar Road. Our deepest condolences to Ruth and the Kinkelaar Family.

We praise God for the life and service of our veteran.  May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord as a grateful nation mourns.

Our family will miss such a wonderful neighbor and friend.  The visits to the Kinkelaar house were always enjoyable.

Seeing Ray brought a smile to my face.  I will miss those stories.  But I know he is in heaven dancing and driving a tank, as well as looking down on Ruth!  Deepest sympathies to the family.  He will be missed.
