Toni Johnson Burks

Toni Johnson Burks was born in Chicago, illinois on June 6, 1946 to her parents lloyd and Dorothy Johnson. She later relocated to Shelby, Alabama and was raised by her grandparents Naomi & Edward Leech.

Toni attended school and graduated from Shelby County Training School in 1966. The following year Toni moved to Cleveland, Ohio and attended Cuyahoga Community College until she graduated. She was employed by Sealtest where she worked a number of years.

April 3, 1971 Toni married Richard Burks and the resided in Cleveland, Ohio until she passed.

Toni loved the Lord and gave her life over to Christ. She lived a Christian life and was happy to help anyone whenever asked. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and spending time with her nephews, nieces and family gatherings. Toni had a smile that would brighten up any room and her laugh was infectious to everyone around her.

Toni leaves to cherish her memory her husband Richard Burks; three sisters: Margie Russell, Dorothy Sewell, and Rose Wright (Clifford); and two aunts: Abbie Thompson and Alice McKnight; and a host of family and friends.
