

Beverly Ann Jones, 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Beverly was the daughter of the late Edna (Van Dusen) and Carleton Jones of Fitchburg, MA. She was predeceased by husband David and brother Russell Jones (Jeanie). She is survived by her daughters Lori A. Riley of Clinton, CT and Michelle L. Tew (James) of Panama City, FL. She was the proud grandmother of 7, Joshua, Kody, Raegen and Skylar Riley and Lynda, Wesley and Matthew Tew. She is also survived by 5 siblings, Marjorie Tremblay of Holden, MA, Shirley Grevemberg (AJ) of Sulphur, LA, Audrey Muir (Paul) of Brooks, ME, Larry Jones (Dianne) of Shallotte, NC and twin sister Barbara Voorhees (Bill) of Southport, NC as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beverly was born and spent her early years in New York State before moving to Massachusetts. After high school, she graduated from Burbank Hospital School of X-Ray Technology in Fitchburg, MA. Following her marriage to David, they spent the next 20 years traveling to David’s military assignments. She settled in Clinton, CT in 2000 and spent the next 15 years working for Viola Marketing in Madison. She was an active member of The United Methodist Church of Clinton, participating on various committees, mission work and fundraising. She was an active member of the Church Choir and of the NYAC Emergency Response Team. She was a proud supporter of Kidz Konnection of Clinton, where her granddaughters spend many hours.
Beverly was known by all as the most generous and giving person one could ever know. Even in her last hours, she was putting others first, wanting to make certain the 3rd graders got their Bibles.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Clinton, 12 Commerce St, Clinton, CT on Monday, March 14th at 3:00 pm.
