Charles R Brown

Charles Robert Brown from Waterford, CT died peacefully at his home January 11, 2017. Charlie was the second child born to Robert Lenard Brown and Judith Marie Brown July 7, 1970 in Lowell Massachusetts.

Charlie grew up in Clinton, CT before moving to Waterford, CT in 2003. He graduated from The Morgan High School in 1988.

Charlie owned his own landscaping business (Charlie Brown’s Lawn Care) for a number of years before changing his profession and becoming an auto technician. He worked for Rich and Ray’s Auto in Clinton then went to work for Guy’s Oil of Niantic, where he worked for 17 years.

He enjoyed many sports, but his favorites of all were NASCAR racing and football. He would always boast about his favorite driver Kyle Bush and his favorite team the New York Giants. He also enjoyed and spent most of his time with family and friends, and of course his cherished dogs. Charlie loved the challenges of working on cars and small engines. Being a true master of his trade, there was not a mechanical obstacle that he couldn’t overcome.

Charlie will be most remembered for his generosity, kindness, great sense of humor and his love for animals.

In addition to his significant other Melissa Nelson, he is survived by his father Robert Brown (Beatriz); brother Robert Brown (Gayle); brother Jeffrey Brown (Laura), and his pets Breanna and Bailey. Charlie was predeceased by his mother Judith Marie Brown.

Calling hours will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, January 19,, 2017 at the Swan Funeral Home in Clinton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may also be made to:
