Diane Helen Fitzgerald

Diane Helen Fitzgerald, 61, born 3/9/1954 in New Haven CT, passed away peacefully August 3rd 2015. Diane was a graduate of West Haven High School and resided in Clinton for over 30 years. She leaves behind her husband and best friend of 42 years, John and her parents, Joseph and Helen(Wendolowski)Cwiertniewicz of Lakeland, FL. She also leaves behind her son David(wife Heather) Fitzgerald and her grandsons Cameron and Donovan of Madison, CT and her son Keith Fitzgerald of Sandy Hook, CT. Her brothers Joseph Cwiertniewicz(Bernadette)of Berwick, ME and Walter Cwiertniewicz(Joyce)of West Haven, CT. A Sister-in-Law Linda Fitzgerald-Clark of Madison, CT and Brother-in-Law Paul Fitzgerald of Pittsfield, MA. Best friends and neighbors of 30 years, Dave and Eva Robinson of Clinton, CT. Diane also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Diane loved to cook for and entertain her family and friends. Holidays were always at Diane’s house – even the neighborhood parties. She was an amazing hostess and loved every minute of it. She loved growing and sharing her vegetable garden crops. As a retired travel agent she still enjoyed traveling and sharing new experiences with her loving husband of 42 years. Her family, friends and home were her passions. Her high energy and loving spirit will truly be missed. Calling hours will be Thurs, 8/6 from 4-8pm at Swan FH, 80 E. Main St, Clinton, CT with a Funeral Service at Swan's on Fri 8/7 at 10am. Interment will be at West Cemetery, Madison, CT.
